After a pretty intense writing week at work, I am at a loss for words.
Thus, I would like to submit a challenge for everyone to share a couple of their favorite words. If you choose to, you can also tell why you like them.
Here are two of mine - bliss and spry. Bliss, because it means a state of supreme happiness, and who doesn't want that? Spry, because I like to use old fashioned words, and it is fun to say.
One of my favorite words is actually a German word that Americans have borrowed...or destroyed :)
ReplyDeleteUber!
Favorite words....favorite words....chic, ineffable, Constantinople.
ReplyDeleteEndoplasmic reticulum, fabulous, amble, zephyr, malodorous, antidisestablishmentarianism...all words that I like. Endo- has been on my top ten list since the first time I ever heard it. Fabulous is my go to word for anything great. Amble just relaxes me. Same with zephyr. Malodorous because it makes me laugh when I read it and the last word because it has 28 letters.
ReplyDeleteEnact, excellence, fortitude, rollout
