What is this? A virgin post?

The stars have aligned in my favor. This beautiful blog is finally up and working on my day for writing. Can I get a Woot! Woot!

So... what to write... what to write...

I don't know about you all out there, but I am very competitive. Very. And occasionally violent. I try hard to suppress these urges, but they burst their bonds on occasion. And since beating my children and/or spouse is frowned upon, I was delighted to sign up for karate with my son when the classes were offered at the local elementary school. That's right, I am the Kramer of the class. What does this have to do with writing? Well, it's also bad when I'm at a convention, say..... like CONduit and I have a sudden vision of what it would be like to really, really punch Graham Chops in the gut. I talk big, but I'm pretty sure Graham could kick my butt any day of the week and twice on Sunday. So, Graham, this is an apology. I'm sorry for picking on you on Saturday. Truly sorry!

This is also a throw down to my writing group! (You know, because of my pent up competitiveness) Mwahahahahaha! I propose (for those of you who feel up to it) a writing challenge. July 6th-31st. As many words as you can. The Inker with the most words wins. The losers buy the winner dinner.

Hooray!!!!! Let the competition begin!

  1. Anything with "virgin" in the title is sure to get my attention :) Nice post, and as I remember correctly, you actually punched Dashner in the stomach as well.

  2. I am up for the challenge. I will be on the road and writing long hand. May the craziest win.

  3. So I have a few questions. Deb the blog looks great. I think we may want to go less apocolyptic with our back ground at some point but I love the colors and the Hat and the gritty 'let's get to work' feel of the entire thing. Good Job.
    Questions?
    What day am I posting?
Are we going to be Inklings?
And do we need to keep our Red Names?
It's still a private blog right until we launch it?

I think that's it for now.
Nice post S.T. I tried to call but you never answered.

  5. I propose that instead of a writing challenge we do a big boxing match. Last person standing wins.

  6. You guys wouldn't stand a chance against me in the boxing ring. Bring it on!

  7. Donna, I believe you have tomorrow, but I could be wrong about the rotation. I think, without putting too much thought into it, I called everyone Inkers in the above post. :) And I think whatever name you choose is fine as long as it's something you like.

DJ, I'm sorry to see that you didn't post today! I hope you get the kinks worked out soon so we can hear from you. :)

  11. Hey, this is Magenta! I hope you guys remember me from Dashner's blog...

This blog is awesome! I love the layout! Who did this? It's funny that I found a blog where I "know" a few people. Arlene, Donna, Graham, Deb...

Since it hasn't been here for long, I'm going to try catching up to this blog. Maybe I'll even end up following it.

BTW, do you guys think I can join this contest thingy on July 6th-31st? I may not be able to buy the winner dinner, since I live in Florida, but I love writing contests.
