What's Your Sign?

I've been thinking a lot about the signs of the Zodiac lately. I find it very interesting that people born in a certain month can all have similar personality traits. People can be as varied and unique as can be, but still share certain Zodiac qualities.

So I'm curious, what's your sign? And what about your Zodiac applies to you personally? (If you're not sure, check here or here.)

I'm a Scorpio. Even though there are several examples of phrases that fit me, I picked this one:

"Scorpios are very weary about trusting anyone, a person needs to gain their trust and this gets built up over time and once all the 'trust tests' have been passed, Scorpio loves deeply and intensely."

This is very me.

Let's get this discussion started. Tell me, Baby, what's your sign?

  1. okay so I'm a Capricorn and I'm stubborn, ambitious, loyal and driven. Yeah, that's about right. I actually had a hard time finding something that I really felt I connected to in the descriptions of Capricorn but here is one I relate to and feel is true in my life. Friendship is its own reward.

"The Capricorn is the strong friend, they will always be there to help, they are very sympathetic, caring and helpful to a friend in need. A Capricorn will get someone back on their feet again with a steady plan for success and for all this, they expect nothing in return."

  2. Virgo, and when I turn 40 in ten years, I can say I'm a forty-year-old Virgo.

  3. Love it Kirk!

I am an Aries. I like this one: "Their upbeat and magnetic personality often entices others to follow their lead because Aries personalities bring excitement into others lives." ;)

This applies to my writing struggles: "Aries are notorious for not finishing what they have begun. This is due to the low tolerance for boredom and lack of patience."

  4. Ha ha, Kirk. I bet you can't wait to use that one again in ten years :)

I took the liberty of picking a quality that I thought suited you:

"Virgos are givers and when the chips are down and you need a friend, the one available during those testing times when you need advice or companionship the most, is likely to be a Virgo."

Donna, you are a great friend, and I can attest that you expect nothing in return. So good pick from you :)

Linda, I am sometimes amazed at how you can stay so upbeat when you shoulder a lot of responsibility!

  5. I'm a Sagittarius. Apparently I love freedom and my element is fire...that seems about right. Of course, there were things I totally didn't agree with. For example, it said that "They don't dwell on hurt because it is a waste of their energy" and "Sagittarius are detached from emotions because emotions hold a person back, they do not like to talk about their feelings, they simply experience them and move on." I just think that's an oversimplification. For me, I liked this phrase in describing me: "What they say is what they mean, Sagittarius do not like mind games, it holds them back trying to figure out what is meant, they like straightforwardness and expect it in return." and "If now is the time for all or nothing, and there is a great deal at stake, they can get anything done. Crisis brings out the best in Sagittarius, they perform their best under pressure."

  6. Before I read everyone else's I am a scorpio. I relate to the wise old soul. In high school I was always cast as the adult.

I also ALWAYS know the answer, which can drive people nuts. (My dad is a scorpio too and he is the same way.)

There is much about the scorpio that I relate to.

Now I will read your answers and comment.

  7. My element is water--which it TOTALLY true. I could live in water . . . I dream of it actually.

So very interesting. My Chinese Sign is the snake. So I am two poisonous creatures. What does that say about me? Oh yeah, Tyrant.

  10. Love this post. My element is earth which makes a lot of sense except for my extraordinary love of flying. Of course I'm always happy to move a mountain or two as well.

  11. Case in point in regard to my being a Sagittarius: Grace tripped and crashed into an end table tonight which split her ear open and she had to have stitches. I was the one to perform the triage and make the decision to take her to the urgent care. Is it that I'm a Sagittarius or that my mom was such an excellent teacher?...

  12. I'm a Cancer. Everything I Google about it seems to end in sex, which can't possibly be right...
