Good News

My work just announced that for the month of July, they're letting employees work through their lunch break and either (a) leave an hour early that day or (b) accumulate an hour each day and leave at noon on Friday!

It's very progressive of them, and we're all ecstatic!

Outstanding.

  1. Can I get a WOOT! WOOT! That's really cool. If I were Joy, I'd be rooting for you to come home early everyday.

  2. Too bad you can't accumulate extra hours from the all night project crunches and take like a week off. But I don't mean to rain on your party so here's a 'huzzah' for you and your progressive employer.

  3. Seems to me there was a Dilbert comic about creating something called a "Time Bank". If I remember correctly, it was Catbert's idea...

  4. I also heard about your company's unisex bathrooms and bra burning rallies. Yay for progression.

  5. I think more employers will be going to flexible schedules. Jobs that don't require keeping office hours for customer service don't really need to have traditional schedules. I'm grateful to have an employer that allows me to have flexible schedule and work mostly from home.

Hurrah for you Kirk. I'm sure you will love it!

  6. The bra-burning rallies are about as awesome as the Stadium of Fire, so...yeah.
