  3. Hmmm, pulling a one-worder today are we?

First thing that comes to mind is a character from Frank Beddor's "The Looking Glass Wars" series. It's a new take on the Alice in Wonderland lore, though with more fantasy, and it blends a lot more with the real world. (Tagline: Fantasy just declared war on Reality.)

General Doppleganger was a character who could split into two people: General Dopple and General Ganger. In the audio version, whenever they combined into Doppleganger, they did this awesome repeat/echo effect with his voice so it sounded like the exact same person was talking twice at the same time. Doppleganger was Beddor's take on Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

That book series had a lot of other cool characters in it, like Hatter Madigan (Alice's bodyguard), The Cat (a feline humanoid with awesome fighting skills) and lots of others. Not the most exciting story ever, but it was fun enough. I'll have to Chop it, come to think of it :-)

  7. Whenever I hear the word doppleganger, I think of a really big antenna, whirling around. Don't ask why, cause I couldn't really tell you.

  8. Sad that I missed this post! I don't have any dopplegangers in my life. It's very depressing.
